Toner moved into this newly created post in May, building a new business unit specifically focused on Big Data. Her key accomplishments during the past year include the introduction of the Optimum Smart Router and new HSD tiers delivering speeds as fast as 101 Mbps downstream and 35 Mbps upstream. “For me, a successful career is about being on the edge and doing things that have not been done before. It is about loving new challenges and making a positive impact on the business, while inspiring others,” she tells us.

How do you define a successful career?

For me, a successful career is about being on the edge and doing things that have not been done before. It is about loving new challenges and making a positive impact on the business, while inspiring others. As I look at my career, one of the things that I am most proud of is creating teams of people who achieve more together than they ever thought possible.

Best trick for maintaining the personal-professional life balance?

There is no trick. There is no such thing as a personal-professional life balance. You have to make choices. You can have it all, just not all at the same time.

When not in the office, where are we most likely to find you?

When I am not in the office, you can find me at home with my husband and kids doing just about anything. Most importantly, sharing experiences and making memories.
