Industry veteran McCollum last year was inducted into the Virginia Communications Hall of Fame. Before joining Cox, the Richmond native was part of another multifaceted team – the U.S. Army – where he served eight years on active duty as military intelligence officer. He remains a major in the U.S. Army Reserves. During his active duty military career, he served with the elite U.S. Army Rangers. In his 20-year career with Cox, McCollum has “demonstrated the ability to grow and maintain customers in intensely competitive environments,” according to Cox EVP/COO Jill Campbell.
