It’s game on when it comes to programming for U.S. Hispanic sports fans, and Rolon has been captaining ESPN’s team for almost a year. His winning strategy of delivering relevant content across platforms saw the renewal of ESPN’s agreement to carry soccer leagues LigaMX and CopaMX. Rolon also led the negotiations to secure exclusive English-language rights to the Mexican National Soccer Team via a partnership with Univision, making ESPN the first English-language home of the MNT. Rolon’s play book also includes the development of more original programming, like the Clemente Effect documentary, which cater to Hispanic sports fans while also being relevant to the general market.
