Rolon leads ESPN Deportes’ programming across various platforms, including ESPN Deportes Radio and ESPNDeportesLA.com, which he launched in the largest U.S. Hispanic market earlier this year. He also man- ages relationships with sports leagues and rights holders. Regarding diversity in cable, Rolon sees some room for improvement. Though senior leaders have exhibited a real commitment, “that commitment doesn’t seem to permeate our organizations enough,” he says. “Whoever gets it right first will see results quicker and will have a significant market advantage.”
