Martinez oversees an empire of 11 networks that reach 369 million cumulative subscribers in 47 countries and territories. Under his leadership, Discovery Latin America/US Hispanic’s network portfolio achieved its highest Q4 audience levels in company history in 2016. He currently is the chairman of the board for The Wow Center, a training and activity center for persons with developmental disabilities in Miami, and also serves as a member of the Baptist Health System’s international advisory board. Fluent in three languages, Martinez strongly supports the Discovery Internship program, which encourages staff to mentor their peers.
