East guides company communications strategy and directs media team members across multiple departments. She has taken key leadership roles within several influential communications organizations and played a pivotal part in launching TWC’s executive women developmental program. She also volunteers as a mentor. When confronting an overwhelming workload, East relies on advice she received years ago: “It’s cable; not cancer,” East says. “That keeps things in perspective.”
