How do you define a successful career?
For me personally, a successful career begins with my team who I view as some of the smartest people in the business with their own expertise. And I must love what I do. It’s important that I value the production and output, and that I’m proud of the success of the team and how we’ve grown, supporting each other in the greater success. In my view, finding a passion and utilizing my expertise to obtain that success at all levels, whether big or small, is invaluable. All of these elements must be aligned for me to have a successful career.
Best trick for maintaining the personal-professional life balance?
I believe there is no cookie cutter approach to personal-professional life balance. Each must find what works best for their family and work it out with the teams to collectively customize a mutually agreed upon approach and game plan. I find it important to take it day by day, remaining open and flexible to adjust what’s needed.
When not in the office, where are we most likely to find you?
When not at work you can always find me at one of my children’s sporting events whether it’s a biathlon, soccer, swimming, basketball or softball. I’m always traveling from field to field and swim meet to swim meet rooting and cheering for the home team.
