Under Carroll’s leadership, original programming, viewership records, ad revenue and global expansion have blossomed at AMC Networks. Just in this past year, the company saw a 52% year-over-year increase in digital ad sales, a swift expansion into Asia and seven countries in Latin America, and bold, new originals at AMC, IFC, SundanceTV and WE tv. In particular, Carroll’s intent to distribute the networks internationally, solidified by the acquisition of global company Chellomedia, exemplifies a tireless determination to take risks and move the company forward. And he has the NCTA’s 2013 Vanguard Award for Programming to prove it. In the coming year he’ll take the lead on Chellomedia’s integration while continuing to grow the networks’ reach domestically with strong original programming.
