Earle MacKenzie
Title: EVP/COO, Shentel
Years in Cable: 6
Education: BBA, College of William and Mary
Best Advice: Luck is when preparation meets opportunity.
Why Him? As a CPA and with a career in telecom, MacKenzie is passionate about numbers and creating a great customer experience. He has built an energetic team at Shentel that meshes the culture of a traditional regulated telephone company’s focus on outstanding service metrics with the entrepreneurial and innovative culture of a cable operator. MacKenzie, who started his career in the telecom industry in 1975, never does anything because “That’s the way it was always done.” He is always looking to do something different, and to do it better than it was done before.
