Blackman oversees a team of finance professionals in all planning, budgeting and financial reporting. In addition to providing strategic advice to BET’s chairman and CEO Debra Lee, she also serves as a financial business partner to the operating units, including lending accounting guidance, business insights and strategic advice on how to best position the division success. Blackman is very active in the community and currently serves as treasurer of the NEA Foundation Board. She’s also a member of the Robert H Smith School Advisory Board.
