Shark Week is an institution, and Discovery has not failed to extend its appeal into social media. The Instagram effort featured takeovers from scientists and conservationists throughout the titular week, including stunning photography and a continuing, often personal narrative written by these “Finbassadors.” The program delivered not only education and entertainment, but awareness as well. As stated, it’s an institution. Or should that be “Finstitution?”
