As a whole, what these three execs bring to the executive table is greater than the sum of their individual contributions. At the Weather Channel, owned by a consortium of NBCU, The Blackstone Group and Bain Capital, Kenny launched AMHQ, a new morning show with Sam Champion. Meanwhile, Wax continues to lead Sprout’s transition from a library channel to an originals-driven network, with an emphasis on high-quality animation. Finally, Hoffman’s launching of reality TV during primetime hours has not been unnoticed by other news networks that have gone on to experiment with similar concepts.
