Walker served as BET Networks’ chief legal officer until his retirement in July. He left an impact, overseeing all aspects of the company’s legal affairs, including content protection. When former original programming president Loretha Jones exited the network a couple years ago, it was Walker who assumed day-to-day operations of BET programming until a replacement was named. He joined BET form Mandalay Pictures. Walker, a former Rhodes Scholar, was once the associate vice president for the L.A. Olympic Organizing Committee.
