Scott, who joined Comcast this April, is highly respected within the philanthropic community and has extensive experience in overseeing charitable initiatives at a worldwide level. She oversees efforts to leverage various assets, resources and platforms throughout Comcast to extend the reach and impact of the company’s philanthropic partnerships. Scott says she’d advise her teen self to “know that you are your biggest critic—don’t let self-doubt hold you back from taking risks, trying something new and raising your hand.”
What advice would you give your 13-year-old self?
Life is short – be in the present (look up from your devices!) Also, know that you are your biggest critic – don’t let self-doubt hold you back from taking risks, trying something new and raising your hand – even when you think you’re not ready!
What’s been the biggest story in cable this year?
One of the biggest stories in cable is the term “cable” no longer fully represents the capability and reach of our industry. NCTA has rebranded and the industry is well positioned to showcase and be acknowledged for the talent, technology and innovation that we deliver to our audiences every day.
