Charlotte Fletcher
Publicist, Investigation Discovery and Destination America
Fletcher is one PR pro who knows how target a variety of messages: from honoring crime victims with ID to keeping things light at Destination America. One of her cheekiest headlines: “Bigfoot, Bigfoot! Wherefore Art Thou Bigfoot? Destination America Dedicates Valentine’s Week to Bigfoot, the One That Got Away.” For the past four years, she’s worked on “Red, White and You,” where Destination America throws a deserving town a spectacular July Fourth celebration. This past July, she took the lead on the initiative, making it a successful event in Eureka, Mo, attended by more than 8,000 residents. Her ideal workplace culture is full of “people who enjoy what they do and are considerate of each other while working toward a common goal.”
The first social platform or website you visit after waking up in the morning?
What sort of culture is important to you in the workplace?
A culture of people who enjoy what they do and are considerate of each other while working toward a common goal. It’s so simple, but good things come to those who work hard and be kind to others.
What misconception or stereotype of your generation drives you the craziest?
We’re not all willing to let our food get cold while we arrange the perfect Instagram snap.
