Early in her career, Keys buffed up her telecom resume with stints at KMC Telecom, MCI WorldCom and Sprint. From there she joined Time Warner Cable in 2004 to run phone service operations in South Carolina. Keys was named area VP in 2010, and today is the market leader for operations across the state. Her advice for young women: “It’s critical to know that performance matters; individually and as a member of a team,” she says. “Know that skepticism helps to refine our thinking, and understand that fear will greatly reduce your opportunities.”
