Earlier this year, Dunleavy transitioned roles at NBCU—going from leading the cable division’s finance, business development and operations to overseeing content distribution. She now not only manages the financial scale of the group’s $6 billion revenue, but also oversees research insights and business developments. On balancing her professional and personal life, Dunleavy says, “I tip my hat to Suzie Welch and her 10, 10, 10 strategy and ask what will matter most in 10 minutes, 10 months and 10 years? That really works!”

 

What/who inspires you at work? What/who inspires you outside the office?

At work I’m inspired by creativity! I love being part of the team trying to figure out how to make something meaningful out of chaos! Outside of the office, I am yinspired by my children; Watching and helping them grow and learn, overcoming obstacles, it inspires me to be the best version of myself possible.

 

Best trick for maintaining the personal-professional life balance?

I tip my hat to Suzie Welch and her 10, 10, 10 strategy and ask what will matter most in 10 minutes, 10 months and 10 years? That really works when deciding what to do!

 

Your favorite trick for unwinding?

Fishing! The locations are beautiful and my entire family enjoys it together!
