Bryant Isaacs
Under Isaacs’ leadership Arris continues to make steady progress integrating the Pace/ECO SW into its portfolio. The company’s ServAssure PNM SW (Alarm Central) and ECO home management product suite are also resonating with customers. Isaacs and his team have started field trials for Arris’ next-gen field service management SaaS product, which implements its DevOps SW development process. Yet Isaacs says DOCSIS 3.1 may be the industry’s most beneficial technology right now “because the increase in bandwidth allows cable to stay ahead of other facilities-based service providers to deliver advanced services,” he says.
What grade do you give the cable industry on diversity and why?
I would give the cable industry a B. The programming community is close to an A based on my perception on the diversity represented in shows and in management. I would rate cable operators and vendors a C based on the paucity of females and minorities in C-level positions.
The technology that will most benefit cable over the next year is…
DOCSIS 3.1 because the increase in bandwidth allows cable to stay ahead of other facilities-based service providers to deliver advanced services such as ultra high definition and seamless OTT programming.
What television show/s – cable or broadcast – best embrace diversity?
All CNN news shows, “Modern Family” and “Black-ish” best embrace diversity in my opinion.
My personal election campaign slogan would be…
Our diversity is our strength.
