Bret Perkins
Perkins, who joined team Comcast in 2001, is responsible for Comcast’s Government Affairs team in Philadelphia, as well as the company’s outreach efforts to third-party groups. During his tenure the company has grown from operating in 2,500 communities to 6,000 communities, and his responsibilities have included implementing regulatory and legislative initiatives at the local level, managing relationships with state and local intergovernmental associations, developing political strategy, and grassroots communications. He believes DOCSIS 3.1 is the tech that will most benefit cable in the near future, noting the industry “is once again demonstrating leadership in delivering faster speeds, widely available.”
