Perkins is responsible for the government affairs team in Philadelphia, as well as the company’s outreach efforts to third party groups. He has served as an integral leader in launching and expanding the company’s Internet Essentials program, which provides low-income families high-speed Internet service for less than $10 a month. Comcast has connected 1.2 million Americans, or 300,000 families, to the power of the Internet in their homes. Perkins believes, however, that his job is far from finished. “As the largest Internet service provider in the nation, the digital divide is something we see firsthand every day,” he has said.
