Marketing Team of the Year | Boingo Wireless – Boingo Broadband

Boingo Broadband began as a WiFi hotspot company but has since branched out into a full-fledged distributor of sorts, selling broadband and video services to more than 40 military bases. Going by the credo that “Boingo makes the barracks better,” this innovative marketing team has gone all out to promote the service on bases and, more importantly, forge a lasting alliance with the soldiers who live and work there. Activations include movies in the pool screenings, trivia nights, casino nights, beach parties, bowling, block parties, tattoo judging contests, zombie runs, barracks bash parties, leadership symposiums, BBQs, tug-of-war competitions, video game tournaments, flag football tournaments, MMA tournaments, UFC viewing parties, and holiday parties. And that’s just to name a few. In fact, Boingo Broadband threw 80-plus events at 24 different military bases from March 2015 to March 2016. The bottom line is that this team—lead by CMO Dawn Callaghan—does an incredible amount of top-notch work with very few people. And this team’s dedication definitely shows.
