Verdugo’s can-do mentality already has taken her far at Cox Media. She sold one of the company’s premium sports packages to a new advertiser, an auto dealer that had previously never been on TV, and wooed another new client to purchase an annual campaign for 2015-16 revolving around he Barrett Jackson car show, a deal that brought $100,000 of new business. She manages it all by having a daily plan of attack: “That way I take care of all priorities before I move on to something else.”

 

What is the best advice you’ve ever gotten?

The best advice I’ve received has been from my dad and it’s simple… Find your purpose. Look at places where your passions and your skills will intersect that way every morning you wake up you can’t wait to start your day.

 

What is one habit that makes you most successful?

The one habit that I feel has made me the most successful is to develop a daily plan of attack; that way I take care of all priorities before I move on to something else.

Three things that make me the most successful are to:

-Take risks

-Maintain a healthy work-life balance

-And always keep my eyes on the prize! Look at challenges along the way as opportunities to grow.
