Kane DeCotis was point person for a new international account on Cooking Channel that swelled to become a $2 million dollar deal. She was also a key architect for the network’s Upfront presentations, and successfully wooed KFC as sponsor for new series “The Great Chicken Wing Hunt” that included buckets of custom content. “Reading anything and everything that I can get my hands on as it relates to our industry has allowed me to be cognizant of all the changes happening in the media world and landscape,” she says.

 

What makes you most excited about this industry as you advance in your career? 

The industry itself has changed and grown so much over the past few years. I’m excited to be a part of this next phase and have a direct impact on clients marketing goals as we head into the future.

 

What is one habit that makes you most successful? 

Reading. Reading anything and everything that I can get my hands on as it relates to our industry has allowed me to be cognizant of all the changes happening in the media world and landscape.

 

What tech item or social platform could/couldn’t you live without?

My Nike GPS Sports Watch. I am an avid runner and love tracking each and every one of my runs to help improve my time and distance.

 

Who has been your biggest mentor and why? 

My father. Whether it was in sports or business school, my dad taught me to be tuff when the going gets hard and to never give up on what you believe in.
