Wang came to Bravo in March with the task of expanding the net’s scripted programming slate. He leads the development and production of scripted pilots and series and is the go-between for the net and the scripted community. Two new projects have come to fruition since his arrival, including “22 Birthdays” and “Blowing Sunshine,” with the first ever scripted to air in 2013. Meanwhile, he has cultivated several minority writers and actors. On diversity in cable: “There are only so many stories to be told, but endless ways to tell them – and diverse backgrounds really help foster those different storytellers.”
