Amy Introcaso-Davis
EVP, Programming & Development, GSN
Under Introcaso-Davis’ stewardship, GSN has become quite a growth driver, finishing 2015 as the network’s most-watched year ever in both cable primetime and total day among total viewers and key demos. Part of that progress stems from the launch of a new, younger-skewing original series, “Hellevator,” and the continued draw of the Rebecca Romijn-hosted “Skin Wars,” its new spinoff, “Skin Wars: Fresh Paint,” and the return of “Idiotest,” hosted by comedian Ben Gleib. Contestants on some GSN’s shows might benefit from the advice Introcaso-Davis said she would give her 13-year-old self: “Don’t worry. Life just gets better and better. You are actually in the toughest part!”
What advice would you give your 13-year-old self?
Don’t worry. Life just gets better and better. You are actually in the toughest part!
Which current programming best reflects the kind of women’s roles you like to see and why?
I think you can’t deny the amazingly positive impact Shonda Rhimes has had not just for women but for everyone. We need 10 more Shondas!
What’s been the biggest story in cable this year?
The biggest story is that in this ever-changing landscape it’s not changing as quickly as anticipated.
