After joining Scripps last year, Baudin almost immediately brought in top talent to create a new, multiplatform lifestyle media experience for fans of HGTV, DIY Network, Food Network, Cooking Channel and Great American Country. Revitalizing the technology infrastructure is a huge task, but Baudin chooses his team members with care. “I look for a new hire to be exceptional at collaboration, have strong influence skills and be passionate about her/his craft.”

Name one emerging trend in cable we should all have our eyes on.

A very important and critical trend is consumer access to content and services via any device, anywhere, at any time. For MVPDs and Cable TV companies, having an ability to provide TVE products and services is critical to meeting the expectations of today’s consumer, in particular Millennials.

Who has been your strongest mentor, and why?

I’ve been fortunate throughout my academic and professional career to have cultivated lasting and impactful relationships with professors, deans, and former bosses. All of these “trusted” relationships have served as a sounding board for  personal, strategic and operational challenges.
