Ali Wentworth
Ali Wentworth is an executive producer, writer and star of “Nightcap,” a culture-commentary comedy series premiering on Pop cable network on November 16th. “Nightcap” dives into the world of late-night television providing a heightened glimpse of the uproarious backstage antics, starring Wentworth as the lead talent booker for a fictitious talk show.

She just finished a three-year contract with the “The Oprah Winfrey Show” where she was an on-air correspondent. Wentworth was the host of 2003’s “Living it Up! with Ali & Jack.” Having made a name for herself as a regular on two seasons of “In Living Color,” Ali’s dead-on impersonations of Cher, Cindy Crawford and Sharon Stone quickly became trademarks of the show. She followed up her stint on “In Living Color” with a starring role in the Fox series, “Hardball,” and appeared as guest host for two episodes of “Later.”
In an unprecedented move to develop a recurring role around a performer, “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” featured Ali on a road trip across the country in a $7 car in the program’s “sweeps” comedy piece. Since then, she’s been invited back numerous times as a regular guest. Her TV credits also include the memorable role as Jerry Seinfeld’s girlfriend, “Schmoopie,” in the series’ classic “Soup Nazi” episode.
Ali appeared in “It’s Complicated” directed by Nancy Meyers and starring Meryl Streep and Alec Baldwin. She has also appeared in movies such as Twentieth Century Fox feature Office Space, The Wonderful World of Disney’s remake of the classic film, The Love Bug. She also starred in the independent film Live Virgin, as well as the Michael Moore/CBS television pilot, “Better Days.” Other movie credits include Trial & Error, Jerry Maguire, Daddy, Big Packages and The Real Blonde.
Also an author, Ali’s first book was published by Warner Books entitled The WASP Cookbook, the book is a collection of 90 recipes (including 11 cocktails). “The WASP Cookbook details some of my best WASP family recipes, spiced up with a humorous commentary on life,” Ali explains.
In February 2012 Harper Collins will publish Ali’s book “Ali in Wonderland.” A collection of funny stories about her life.
A Washington D.C. native, Ali is the daughter of a political journalist and former First Lady Nancy Reagan’s social secretary. She lives in Manhattan with her husband George Stephanopoulos and their two daughters.
