Even amidst the noise and clutter pervasive at SXSW, A+E Networks managed to stand out with its replica of iconic Bates Motel and its opening night party during the festival. The hotel room was sufficiently creepy, with a flickering, neon sign and framed art of the mother-son duo throughout the rooms. Attendees toured the replica during the day and at night, the party’s blue lighting and cute tchotchkes gave guests something to buzz about over social media.
