Adria Alpert Romm
Chief Human Resources & Global Diversity Director, Discovery Communications
Romm is responsible for the acquisition, retention, management and professional well-being of a global workforce of more than 7,000 employees. A longtime adviser of Discovery chief David Zaslav, Romm is committed to providing benefits for employees that go beyond what’s traditionally offered, from the existence of onsite primary care facilities in four major offices, an onsite daycare center at Discovery’s global headquarters and a global 24/7 counseling and support hotline. When asked which sector of cable has done best with gender equality Romm says, “The industry has done really well in the creative areas but needs to work harder on sales and corporate leadership functions.”
