Advertising Sales Person of the Year (VP and above) | Kate Mitchell , SVP, Ad Sales  – OWN and Oprah.com

Kate Mitchell joined that ad sales team for OWN and Oprah.com in 2011 and quickly took charge of some of the network’s most important partners including Procter & Gamble, Walmart, Johnson & Johnson and Kohl’s. Almost immediately after her promotion to SVP last year, Mitchell integrated the sales teams across linear and digital, and bolstered the net’s “Favorite Things” partnership with Amazon that helped grow the net’s YoY revenue by double digits. And even as the loss of Oprah’s The Life You Want Weekend tour left a multi-million dollar hole in the budget, Mitchell managed to replace and even exceed those dollars in 2015. Calling Mitchell “a key part of the network’s continued growth and success,” OWN President Erik Logan says her “tremendous leadership as well as the innovative initiatives that she has implemented across both our linear and digital businesses have massively elevated our business.”
