Now evp and gm of A&E and Lifetime, Rob Sharenow is quite an accomplished novelist. My Mother the Cheerleader was his first, and it impressed many an award body. It was named one of the “Best Books of the Year” by the American Library Association, School Library Journal and the New York Public Library. His second is called The Berlin Boxing Club. More awards were given: The Sydney Taylor Book Award and being a finalist for the Walden Award. Rob’s third, pictured in the book cover above, is titled The Girl in the Torch. You’ll get access to it from Harper Collins’ young adult division in May.
