But there are predators out there even more fierce than Matt. “One time off Montauk I had a great white shark take a bluefish right off my hook when I got it close to the boat,” he said. But that was even less scary than the time he was salmon fishing in Alaska and a black bear popped out of the woods and stole a coho salmon he was reeling in.
