Move over, Ellen Degeneres. You’ve got some selfie competition. Check out Evan Shapiro, president of Pivot, on a family vacation to South Africa–specifically Kruger National Park on safari. His thoughts on the fantastic trip: “You wake at 5 for safari to avoid the heat, so this was a very early morning. You ride in an open jeep and the animals are a stone’s throw or less away. Beyond the amazing experience of seeing all of the Big 5 (Lion, Rhino, Buffalo, Leopard, Elephant) this was terrific for my ongoing quest for the perfect selfie.”

“On a more serious note,” he continues, “this pic is of a Black Rhino and her baby, which is literally under attack by poachers (more than 900 rhinos were killed by poachers in Kruger just last year) for their horns, which are sold for false medical reasons around the world.”

He highly recommends the trip.

“We did actually get some pictures that are not selfies,” he adds. But not this one:
