Derek Herider, Comcast’s new head of San Francisco’s Northeast Bay region, spends a lot of time traveling around the U.S. with his three teenage daughters, 18-year-old Kaetlyn, 14-year-old Lauren and 13-year-old Megan. “Our favorite spot is Universal Studios Orlando during fall break for Halloween Horror nights,” he tells us.

Derek is also quite the golfer and, in light of his new gig, is excited to play some of the courses around the Bay. (Check out the pic of him above, far left, at Pebble Beach.) “I am really looking forward to taking sailing lessons and would like to become a Big Brother here in the East Bay,” he says. Another interest is snowboarding, but he doesn’t make it up the mountain as much as he used to, and he’s currently putting together applications to pursue a PHD in organizational leadership.
