Chris Bastian, svp and CTO at The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE), is very outdoorsy. On a vacation to Alaska, Chris and his family hiked in Denali National Park and flew in a Cessna airplane around Alaska’s iconic Mount Denali. In New Mexico on another expedition, Chris and his son hiked 120 miles at Philmont Scout Ranch where they summited Mount Baldy (elevation 12,441 feet). The pair caught a magnificent sunrise on the “Tooth of Time,” a geological feature of the ranch. In addition to hiking, Chris and his family love camping, biking and other outdoor activities. “It’s a successful weekend if we’ve spent the majority of it outside,” said Bastian.
