Zhone Technologies has extended its Zhone Management System (ZMS) with the Zhone EZ Touch Provisioning solution. This next-generation, carrier-class network management and provisioning technology will support service providers in their ongoing efforts to maximize operational efficiencies while continually extending their voice, video and data networks.

With the addition of EZ Touch, service providers will now be able to provision and troubleshoot subscriber-facing features without a truck roll or manual intervention. The first release of EZ Touch Provisioning will support MXK and select Zhone-manufactured CPEs and non-OMCI ONTs.

The goal of EZ Touch is to reduce service providers’ total cost of ownership for Zhone FTTH solutions by expanding auto-provisioning, remote configuration and other management features to all network technologies.
