The ARRIS WorkAssure Workforce Management solution now includes support for handheld devices and tablets using the Android OS platform.

“Operators are beginning to phase out existing handheld devices and purchasing new Android devices because of the user-friendly features,” notes Gary Cunha, senior director/Assurance Solutions Product Line Management. “We want to do everything we can to make technicians in the field as productive as possible, so to that end, WorkAssure’s comprehensive mobile support can now be extended to a variety of handheld devices and tablets that use the Android OS platform.”

WorkAssure currently is used by more than 40,000 cable broadband technicians, and it auto-routes more than 110 million work orders per year, ARRIS adds.
