Tony Werner, executive vice president and CTO of Comcast, will deliver the keynote address at the SCTE Canadian Summit 2011 next month in Toronto.? ?Werner will speak on the topic “Broadband Video: Challenge or Opportunity” during the March 8-9 conference at the Toronto Congress Centre.

Werner’s keynote, sponsored by Huawei Technologies Canada, will set the tone for conference sessions that will address opportunities that are on the horizon for the industry, and the technologies that will help the Canadian and international operators to capitalize on them.

“Such topics as the evolution of next-generation video architectures, the transition to IPv6 and support for business services all are truly global in scope,” said Werner, in a statement. “Forums like SCTE Canadian Summit are a critical part of the learning process for engineering and operations professionals from North America.”
