Technicians from Charter Communications and Cox have been assessing the Hurricane/Tropical Storm Isaac situation in Louisiana to gauge network damage in their respective operational areas, and the Weather Channel says it saw its monthly iPad and iPhone apps spike as of last Sunday…C Spire Wireless and Verizon Wireless are allowing subscribers to donate to the Red Cross Hurricane/Tropical Storm Isaac relief efforts wirelessly. To give $10, customers can type the word “REDCROSS” and send it to 90999 via text message from a mobile device. A confirmation text response will be sent to each customer to confirm the donation, and it will appear as a line item on the customer’s bill.
