Waoo!, a Danish broadband provider delivering fiber-based network services to nearly 200,000 households, has selected and deployed RGB’s Video Multiprocessing Gateway (VMG) and TransAct Packager to provide a transcoding and packaging solution for its new over-the-top (OTT) video service.

Waoo! launched its first Web TV service in June and is utilizing RGB’s VMG  and TransAct Packager to roll out 36 channels, streaming Microsoft Smooth Streaming adaptive format to PC-based consumers.

Working alongside the VMG, RGB’s TransAct Packager delivers advanced adaptive streaming capabilities, providing Waoo!’s customers with seamless video delivery by enabling the segmentation of video into chunks that are reliably delivered using HTTP.
