Consumers viewed 185mln hours of on-demand content in 1Q, a 59% Y-over-Y increase, according to data from Rentrak's subscribing MSO's. Over the same period, available VOD content grew by 36% to 71K titles, with free on demand providing the highest increase in titles. Other findings: SVOD viewing grew 41%, and movies (33%) and kids programming (29%) accounted for the greatest free VOD viewing minutes.
