Rentrak launched its "OnDemand Essentials’ Content Provider" site, which allows subs to access VOD content performance data across MSOs or by specific ones. It’s just wrapped up subscriber deals with 8 Viacom nets, including MTV, Nick and CBS, as well as with Expo TV, National Geographic, NFL Net and Ripe TV. The 12 new subs join Music Choice, which inked a deal with Rentrak last year. In the first 8 months of ’05, Rentrak has captured more than 1bln VOD transactions from participating MSOs. That’s 5 times the number in captured for all of 2004.
