FX bought some VOD time from Cablevision to promote its programming to the MSO’s digital subs. Billed as cable’s 1st "network branded promotional VOD channel," it will have exclusive VOD content from series like "The Shield," "Nip/Tuck" and "Rescue Me." It also will feature interactive polls, sneak previews and behind-the-scenes footage. — NCTA, Cable Positive, PBS and Boston’s WGBH will jointly distribute "Frontline’s" "The Age of AIDS" free-of-charge to MSOs after its May 30-31 PBS debut. MSOs are also being offered AIDS PSAs featuring Bono and President Bill Clinton. — PBS expanded its free VOD roster by 7 programs, including "Nightly Business Report" and "Nature." — Puerto Rican MSO Onelink Communications signed a multi-year deal to provide VOD services from TVN. Movies and adult and premium channel programming are included.
