ViXS Systems, a provider of multimedia processor solutions that enable a rich video experience, has announced the appointment of Chris Bowick to serve on its board of directors.

Bowick serves as president of The Bowick Group, where he provides strategic advice to clients in the cable TV and telecommunications industry. From 2000 to 2009, he served as Cox Communications, SVP of engineering and CTO. Prior to his tenure at Cox, Bowick also served as Group VP, technology  and CTO for Jones Intercable.

Bowick also serves on the board of directors for two other organizations: Inlet Technologies and LiquidxStream Systems.
