Virgin Media, the U.K.’s largest quad-play provider, is using Concurrent’s MediaHawk VX unified content delivery network (CDN) to support video services to IP-connected devices. The operator says MediaHawk technology supports its new cloud-based Virgin TV Anywhere offering. With its embedded eFactor content workflow features, Concurrent says MediaHawk “simplifies multiscreen content delivery and reduces operational costs by adapting source content on-the-fly to satisfy the requirements of each target device.”
