Communications Technology Associate Editor Mike Robuck recently visited Cox Communications’ Las Vegas system.

In part 1 of this series, Mike meets John Fountain, VP of technology for Cox Business Services in Las Vegas. They discuss how that system serves 18 out of 25 of the world’s biggest hotels, including the Bellagio, the Wynn and the MGM Grand.

Fountain tells Mike about the history of Cox’s local hospitality business, its network infrastructure and some cutting-edge technology his team is testing around movie and content downloads for hotel guests.
