A Cable360.net Video Exclusive The FCC has mandated that starting July 1st, 2007, the U.S. cable industry must be fully CableCARD-ready, offering subscribers a special plug-in card for third-party devices (TVs, set-top boxes, DVRs) enabling secure access to operators’ encrypted digital cable programming.
