Bangalore, India-based ACT Television has chosen Verismo’s VuNow Internet TV platform to delivery IPTV content to a palm-sized set-top box. ACT’s initial deployment targets 100,000 homes with services that include 200-plus live TV channels, record-and-watch capability, movies-on-demand and Internet video delivered to the TV set. Informal polling at the CableLabs Winter Conference in February 2009 recognized the VuNow platform as the "Best New Product Idea."
