Univision has selected the Comcast Media Center (CMC) to manage distribution of its "Univision On Demand” service, an extensive library of Spanish-language content, from its three linear networks – Univision, TeleFutura and Galavisión. The CMC’s national video on demand (VOD) platform, which reaches more than 35-million VOD-enabled TV households, offers capabilities for acquiring and encoding linear TV programs, such as live sports events, providing near real-time delivery to local VOD servers.

Univision On Demand is available in markets served by Comcast, Time Warner Cable and Verizon FiOS TV, and the CMC will be assisting Univision in rolling out Univision On Demand industry-wide in the coming months.?

CMC supports C3 audience measurement by incorporating the profiles for C3 commercial ratings provided by The Nielsen Company in on demand programming delivered to local cable systems for time-shifted viewing within hours of the original broadcast.
