Universal Electronics’ Cricket Remote restricts TV viewing to a select list of channels, including Disney, Nickelodeon, the Cartoon Network and others. The remote comes pre-programmed with 14 large keys that are designed so it’s easy for kids to hold and grip the remote.

The Remote Extender allows an existing remote to control AV devices without having to point the remote directly at the equipment. It converts the IR beam to an RF signal, then reconverts it to IR via a small receiver inside the AV equipment cabinet. (Universal Electronics, booth 767, www.uei.com)
